The TIP Study Program Gives Practicum Courses in Agroindustrial Product Knowledge

The Agroindustrial Technology Study Program (TIP) of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Udayana University provided assistance and practicum for the Agroindustrial Product Knowledge Course on Thursday, April 28th , 2022 at the Process Engineering and Quality Control Laboratory at the Agrocomplex Building FTP Unud.

This practical assistance was given by Dr. Ir. Ni Made Wartini, M.P as the lecturer and Mr. Made Surya Pramana Mahardika, S.TP., M.Sc as the Assistant Laboratory Pranata.

Before doing the practicum, practicum assistance is carried out to distribute practicum groups to students, inform them about practicum materials, practicum schedules and procedures for making practicum reports. In addition, it also explains the rules that must be obeyed by students while doing practicum in the laboratory such as Time Discipline, Use of Laboratory Coats and Obedience health protocols.

After the practical assistance process is carried out, the Agroindustrial Material Knowledge practicum is carried out. The implementation of the practicum is carried out by providing the practice of measuring texture with a texture analyzer, measuring dissolved solids with a hand refractometer, also conducting a color testing practicum with a color reader with the results of L*, a* and b*.

Through this practicum, students are expected to be able to know agro-industrial products and be able to understand the process of testing texture, dissolved solids and color testing using the instruments used.
