Improving Higher Education Quality, PS TIP FTP Unud Holds a Sharing Session on OBE-Based Curriculum Management Preparation
DENPASAR, AUGUST 7, 2026 – In an ongoing effort to enhance learning quality and curriculum responsiveness to modern developments, the Department of Agroindustrial Technology (PS TIP), Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Udayana University held a Sharing Session on Outcome-Based Education (OBE) Curriculum Management Preparation. This academic event took place solemnly and interactively on Friday, August 7, 2026, at the FTP Meeting Room, 3rd Floor, Agrocomplex Building, Unud Sudirman Campus, Denpasar.
Attended by faculty members, the quality assurance team, and academic administrators within PS TIP, the session focused on strengthening understanding and alignment strategies for outcome-based curricula. The OBE approach is considered essential to ensure that every learning process, facility, and evaluation method is designed around achieving the real competencies required by graduates when entering the workforce and agro-industry sector.
For this sharing session, PS TIP FTP Unud featured an experienced speaker in curriculum development, Dr. Ir. I Nyoman Setiawan, MT. from the Electrical Engineering Study Program, Udayana University. In his presentation, Dr. Nyoman Setiawan shared technical guidelines and practical insights on formulating Graduate Learning Outcomes (CPL), mapping Course Learning Outcomes (CPMK), and designing measurable and efficient assessment instruments. He emphasized that successful OBE implementation lies not merely in administrative documentation, but in the transformation of academic culture and classroom teaching methods.
The Coordinator of the Agroindustrial Technology Study Program (Koprodi TIP) FTP Unud, Dr. I Gusti Ayu Lani Triani, S.TP., M.Si., expressed deep appreciation for the enthusiasm of all participants and the valuable contribution of the speaker. In her remarks, she emphasized that this activity serves as an important milestone for PS TIP in addressing global educational challenges.
"Implementing an OBE-based curriculum is no longer just an option, but a fundamental commitment of PS TIP FTP Unud to consistently and systematically guarantee educational quality. Through this sharing session, we align the perspectives of all teaching staff so they are better prepared to design and manage an innovative, measurable curriculum. We are determined to ensure that all PS TIP graduates not only master theoretical knowledge, but also possess technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and an adaptive character ready to compete nationally and internationally," affirmed Dr. I Gusti Ayu Lani Triani.
She added that strengthening the OBE-based curriculum directly aligns with PS TIP’s readiness to achieve superior accreditation status and future international certifications.
The event proceeded with group discussions and an interactive consultation session. Faculty members utilized this opportunity to discuss technical challenges and course mapping strategies relevant to current agro-industrial needs. Through this activity, PS TIP FTP Unud moves forward with confidence in establishing an excellent, competitive, and future-oriented learning ecosystem. (TIP)
